How it all started
Our story begins in the fifties when Italo Zaino chose to leave Abruzzo (south of Italy) and move to Montegrotto Terme, a spa resort area in the Veneto region. In those years, Wellness and Spa tourism were growing in Italy, and Italo immediately began a thriving business of distribution of extra virgin olive oil and other food products, responding to the international tourist demand for Italian products.
In 1982 Zaino Food was founded by his sons Gianni and Rocco, who made the company grow by investing in a modern and efficient structure, becoming an operational reality present throughout the Triveneto with their own means and a structured sales network.
With the arrival of Rocco’s daughter, Laura, the company began a phase of internationalization by opening a branch in Thailand in 2014 and one in the United Kingdom in 2016 with the ambition of becoming a reference supplier of Italian food products for catering abroad.
